Introducing… The Fresh Arsenal Power Rankings
Through a mix of analytics from several data sources, fan player ratings, transfermarkt value and more, we calculate and report The Fresh Arsenal Power Rankings weekly, exclusively in this newsletter. Rankings will be altered based on recent performance (last 6 games) as well as being anchored by season long data. Every week we will show you the updated rankings with some performance observations as to why these changes have happened.
Risers - Benjamin White has quietly been a contender for Arsenal man of the match for most of the season and especially in the three games since the World Cup. His trio of impressive performances has seen him move into the top three of the rankings. Thomas Partey’s consistent availability and assured performances in-front of the Arsenal back four has seen him move into the top five.
Did you know? Thomas Partey and Ben White make the most tackles per 90 in the Arsenal team this season (PL) only with 2.1 tackles per 90.
Fallers - As Gabriel Jesus continues to miss out due to injury, his power ranking score is slowly seeing him fall out of the top 10. Gabriel Martinelli’s poor showing against Newcastle has also seem him drop out of the top three after goals against West Ham and Newcastle saw him rise to such a high position. As you can see below, 3rd to 7th are incredibly close in total PR rating, so expect frequent fluctuations.
Martinelli averages 1.8 successful dribbles per 90 in the PL this season (2nd highest Arsenal player behind Gabriel Jesus), but against Newcastle he failed to complete 1.

Looks promising indeed - have enjoyed the pods for their often innovative takes on the games - but I'm kinda starved of Arsenal content/banter here in a small city in China ☯️
Excellent stuff. Well done on all the hard work.
