No way Arsenal will make a huge financial effort to get Eze just to have him as a backup for Odegaard or 3rd option for LW as per the above image. If he comes, there are plans for him to be a starter.
Eze, Rodrygo and a striker in the same summer? I highly doubt this. Given Eze and Rodrygo's versatility, I'd be happy with any combination of 2 out of these 3 :)
I think we really need to stop thinking in starting XIs. The team has two games a week every week, tore off the bone a few hamstrings last season and countless other injuries. If you are 2nd or 3rd choice in a few positions, you will be starting a game most weeks, and coming off the bench at worst in every other game. The club are clearly finally realising exactly that by targeting three new attacking players. We don't hesitate to have a back up back four, but in attack, where you need more impact off the bench and more explosiveness in rotation, we hesitate to have options.
Take Sterling as an example last season, literally last choice in the pecking order and Arteta tried not to use him at all, yet he still played in 28 games.
